Judgments and Advisory Opinions

 The Court ensures access to justice by hearing cases, issuing binding decisions and authoritative advisory opinions on human and peoples’ rights across the continent.

Compliance with Decisions

 The Court regularly assesses the status of compliance with its decisions and reports on the same to the African Union policy organs to ensure robust accountability in the African human rights system.

Sensitization and Public Outreach Missions

 Through Sensitization missions in African Union Member States, the Court raises awareness about its mandate, role andprocedures, and to encourage Member States to ratify the Court’s Protocol and deposit the Declaration under Article 34(6) of the Protocol recognizing the competence of the Court to receive cases filed by individuals and NGOs.

Legal Resources and Publications

 The Court provides its procedural texts, decisions, law reports, activity reports and other publications on its website, contributing to the development of human rights jurisprudence in Africa, fostering a deeper understanding of itw work and enhancing legal research.

Partnerships and Collaborations

 The Court collaborates with African Union organs, regional and International Courts, national bodies, civil society, and international institutions to promote human and people’s rights and strengthen judicial cooperation.
